Tract Handout Ideas

First - Prepare the way.

Pray every day for the tracts that have been handed out and the ones that will be! Pray for divine appointments and for the Holy Spirit to work on the hearts of people you give tracts to, and He needs to work on your heart as well.

Read each of the tracts you will give out. This gets you excited for other people to read them as well as you know what you are sharing. It only takes 5 minutes of your time to read a tract. Remember our time is God's gift to us; how would He like us to spend it?

Say at least one sentence about the tracts when giving them away:

"Here's a gift for you. It was given to me and I really appreciated it."

"They are short articles full of Bible texts, stories, and encouragement."

"They are on various practical topics. I was given some and like them so much that I decided to carry them with me wherever I go."

HERE is a card you can download and print with tips and reminders.

Second - Be prepared.

Be sure you are carrying tracts, cards, and pamphlets with you EVERYWHERE, ALL the time. Glow offers plastic sleeves you can use to keep your tracts from getting all dog eared. Put them in a envelope in your car glove box, in your purse, briefcase, and have a special place in your home. Keep all these locations well stocked. The are inexpensive to purchase but if you have very limited funds ask your church to order a few hundred to share. Get in the habit of carrying them everywhere, don't leave home without them! Along with tracts you can also carry Bible Business Cards on various topics inviting people to visit key websites of interest.

Third - Be proactive in seeking ways to share.

Be open to God's providence. You can be led by the Holy Spirit to reach someone in the most random places. Be ready to pass one to anyone you meet that God impresses you to reach out to. When you are in a waiting room or on a plane. Learn more about approaching strangers here....>>>

The little things matter.

"God tests and proves us by the common occurrences of life. It is the little things which reveal the chapters of the heart. It is the little attentions, the numerous small incidents and simple courtesies of life, that make up the sum of life's happiness; and it is the neglect of kindly, encouraging, affectionate words, and the little courtesies of life, which helps compose the sum of life's wretchedness. It will be found at last that the denial of self for the good and happiness of those around us constitutes a large share of the life record in heaven. And the fact will also be revealed that the care of self, irrespective of the good and happiness of others, is glow shirtnot beneath the notice of our heavenly Father." {AH 108.2}

You can even wear a t-shirt inviting people to ASK you for a tract (click image to enlarge)w).
